If my chances are only 70% or something, then I'll make sure to buff my pickpocket chances with a potion or something.īut if it always shows 100% chance no matter what, then that's going to result in me getting caught over and over if I take too much, and I don't know how much is "too much" either. I can accept not having a 100% chance for taking a lot of gold at once, but I at least want to know what my chances are of successfully taking it. The pickpocket skill needs some attention. You can get rich much easier, much faster, and much safer with Alchemy, or heck even lockpicking and opening strongboxes. Not even leveling smithing has as many clicks as taking one coin at a time would with pickpocketing. Sure you can take coins one by one and virtually eliminate all risk, but doing that would make pickpocket the most tedious skill in the whole game. As it stands in its current bugged state, it's high risk/mediocre reward. Pickpocket should be high risk/high reward.

That's an exploit, and it doesn't make sense from a realism perspective either. No, I'm sure that wasn't the Requiem dev teams intention. So from what I understand, you're saying that Requiem intended for people to pickpocket each coin one by one? More profitable, no risk of the guards going nuts, and it's more overpowered. Why am I still getting caught when it says 100% chance? Better just to spend time farming Alchemy. But it doesn't seem to matter - I've been caught trying to pickpocket only 17 gold at a time. I am making it a point to only take small amounts of gold at once, like 17-25 gold every time. This sucks and doesn't seem worth the perk point spent on cutpurse. Luckily I'm with the guild so that I can pay half the fine, but so far I'm still only making around 500g profit from pickpocketing everyones gold in Riften, after getting caught like 5 times. Especially in Mistveil keep, I got caught like 3 times trying to pickpocket the Jarl, even though it shows 100% chance (eventually I did manage to take all her gold, after getting caught 3 times). But I've still been caught like 5 times while trying to pickpocket everyone in Riften. Every time I mouseover someones gold it shows 100% chance.
I have first pickpocket perk 1/2 and the cutpurse perk.
